Things to Do

Explore Nature & Fall Color

-Schmeeckle Reserve - Located right in Stevens Point, this 280-acre nature preserve offers a perfect mix of woodlands, wetlands, and trails — all just minutes from campus and downtown. You can walk or bike the scenic trails, stroll around Lake Joanis, or relax on the boardwalk while spotting local wildlife. The Reserve is also part of the Green Circle Trail, making it easy to connect with other beautiful areas nearby. Don’t miss the Visitor Center and Gift Shop, which feature local nature exhibits, outdoor gear, and handmade Wisconsin gifts. It’s a lovely place to stretch your legs, snap some photos, or simply unwind before (or after!) the wedding festivities.

-Green Circle Trail - A scenic 27-mile loop that winds through forests, wetlands, and along the Wisconsin and Plover Rivers. It’s perfect for walking, jogging, or biking, and there are plenty of shorter trail segments if you’d rather take a leisurely stroll.

Fall Actives

-Feltz's Dairy Store & Corn Maze - Located just a short drive from the wedding festivities, Feltz’s Dairy Store combines the charm of a working family dairy farm with the playful energy of a seasonal corn maze, making it an ideal spot for guests who want to explore a little local flavor.

Arts

-Stevens Point Sculpture Park - Nestled on the north side of Stevens Point at 901 N. Second Street, the Stevens Point Sculpture Park is a beautifully designed 20-acre woodland venue where art and nature meet. It’s free, open daily from sunrise to sunset, and wheelchair accessible along its hard-packed crushed granite trails (weather permitting).

Drinks

Stevens Point Brewery - Founded in 1857, the Stevens Point Brewery is one of the oldest continuously operating breweries in the United States — and a local favorite. Guests can take a guided tour to see how their award-winning beers, ciders, and sodas are made, then enjoy a tasting in the taproom or relax on the outdoor patio. The brewery pours a wide variety of drinks, from their classic Point Amber Lager to refreshing Ciderboys hard ciders and gourmet sodas.

Tip: Tours fill up quickly on weekends, so book ahead and remember to wear closed-toe shoes! Even if you skip the tour, the taproom and gift shop are open to the public and make for a fun, laid-back stop just minutes from downtown Stevens Point.
